I want to show you the inside of this ring.
The center diamond is a 3ct marquise, set in 18k yellow gold. We’ll get to that. But tucked inside the band are four little stones: one for the husband, one for the wife, and one for each of their two kids.

The marquise gives this ring its long, pointed shape. There’s plenty happening already with a center stone like this, so the family detail sits inside the band, where it feels like something just for the person wearing it.

An upgrade with a little more of their story in it
By the time someone comes to me for an engagement ring upgrade, there can be a lot of life behind that original ring.
For this family, there are now four people to represent. We put that into the new ring in a way you might miss entirely unless someone showed you.
I like that you don’t have to explain it to everyone. You can just know it’s there.

My response was: “We nailed it 🙌🙌 teamwork makes the dream work and this was meant to be.”
Which pretty much sums it up.
“Exactly what I was picturing” is such a good message to get. We’ve been talking about an idea, working through the details, and then there it is: a real ring with the little things they wanted in it.
And yes, we talked about the budget
We completed this ring at 40% below retail, based on our comparison for this project.
That’s specific to this commission. Your quote will depend on your diamond, metal, and setting, so I’d rather talk through what you want than promise the same percentage on every ring.
